Plaster cast of alleged Honey Island Swamp Monster, was obtained by Harlan E. Ford in 1974.
Ford and a hunting buddy emerged from Louisiana's pristine Honey Island Swamp with casts of tracks they claimed to have discovered near a wild boar that lay with its throat gashed. (For an investigative article on this case see Joe Nickell, "Tracking the Swamp M onster," Skeptical Inquirer 25:4, July/August 2001, pp. 15-18.)
This cast pictured here was obtained from Ford's grand daughter, Dana Holyfield. It measures about 5" wide x 9 ¾" long.
