Bigfoot Track Cast

In 1982 oversized footprints, complete with dermal ridges (the ridges that on the hands produce fingerprints), were discovered in the Mill Creek watershed of Oregon's Blue Mountains. Investigation by the U.S. Forest Service, and later by Bigfoot expert Michael Dennett indicated that the tracks were part of an elaborate hoax. (See Michael Dennett, "Evidence for Bigfoot? An Investigation of the Mill Creek 'Sasquatch ,'" Skeptical Inquirer, Spring 1989, pp. 266-267.)

Shown here is a cast of one of the Mill Creek tracks, sold commercially in the 1980s. It measures approximately 15-¼ inches long.
