Pictured is a business license for a "Snake Man" to "sell oil" in the Village of Schoolcraft, Michigan. It is dated May 26, 1881. "In consideration of two dollars Snake Man is hereby licensed to sell oil for 2 days from May 26 1881 to May 27 1881 inclusive." The clerk signed the license.
